Automotive Repair Process

Texas law allows you to choose your repair shop. Insurers cannot force you to use a specific shop. 


The process for repairing a vehicle at a body shop in Texas generally follows these steps. While individual shops may vary slightly, the core process is fairly standard:

  • Safety Inspections: The shop ensures the vehicle meets safety standards after structural repairs.

  • Dent Removal: Dents are repaired using techniques like PDR (paintless dent repair) if applicable.
  • Panel Replacement: Severely damaged panels are replaced with new ones.

  • Color Matching: Paint is mixed to match the original color using advanced systems.

  • First QC: Electrical systems, lights, and other components are tested for functionality.

  • Calibrations:  We conduct an ADAS Verification to ensure the proper functioning of all systems and identify any necessary calibration adjustments. 
  • QC: The shop performs a thorough inspection to ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards.

  • Pick-up: The shop reviews the repairs with the customer and provides any warranties on the work.
